Maintenance
It's always better to fix something before it breaks, the same applies to your car or truck. That's why Regular Maintenance is so important on today's vehicles. Properly maintained vehicles will be more dependable, safer, last longer, and maintain their value. It will save you money on expensive component replacement such as (engines and transmissions), provide better fuel economy and help the environment by reducing emissions.
   TUNING & BRAKES
Â

One of the best and easiest ways to increase your miles-per-gallon is with a tune-up. Just think: One spark plug misfiring half of the time can reduce fuel economy by 7% and two can reduce it by 20%. For maximum fuel economy and peak engine performance, your spark plugs should be replaced every 30 months or 30,000 miles, unless your vehicle is equipped with 100,000-mile platinum tipped spark plugs.

Worn Brake pads can damage the brake rotor or drum, turning a simple maintenance job into an expensive replacement procedure.

Tip:  We recommend your vehicle get a Tune-up, or major service, every 30,000 miles and Brake Inspections are the best way to ensure safe and reliable braking and minimize the cost of repairs when brake service is needed.Â

Have your brakes checked regularly! Here at Smog Plus Auto Care in San Bernardino, CA we offer FREE Brake inspections with every Oil Change, upon request.
